Sandwiches and Burgers

Lentil Hummus Burger

Makes 4 servings


  • 1 cup sprouted lentils soaked for 30 minutes
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • ¼ c fresh basil, roughly chopped
  • ¼ c garlic hummus, made with olive oil
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Optional: pieces of eggplant
  • Sprigs of cilantro


  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and mix until well combined.
  2. Scoop into balls/patties then add to an oiled skillet (use coconut oil) and cook on each side for a few minutes.
  3. Make a sandwich with two patties on top of each other, with slices of avocado, tomato, and onion in the middle.
