Good Morning Parfait

Tame digestive drama with a unique trio of ingredients: flaxseeds, strawberries and yogurt. Flaxseeds contain prebiotics, food for the growth of healthy bacteria known as probiotics. Probiotics have been shown to help with weight loss, regularity and mineral absorption. The insoluble fiber found in strawberries and promotes digestion while preventing constipation. Greek yogurt has a higher dose of gut friendly bacteria versus regular yogurt. So grab a spoon and enjoy!

Makes 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup 2% Greek yogurt
  • ½ tsp matcha green tea powder, optional
  • 2 tbsp coconut water
  • 2 tbsp coarsely ground flaxseeds
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 2 tbsp granola
  • 1/3 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • ½ kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk yogurt, green tea powder and coconut water into a smooth paste. Mix in honey and flaxseeds.
  2. Spoon yogurt into a tall glass then layer with yogurt and fruit.
  3. Serve right away or refrigerate overnight for an early breakfast.
